Marie 5 is the next generation of our 360˚ rotating seat. We’ve taken everything you loved about Marie 3 and made it even better, focusing on enhancing user experience, superior safety, and increased comfort. It’s a little haven for your precious passengers. Named after the remarkable Marie Curie, the latest edition continues our tradition of intuitive user experience coupled with features that are designed to make your life easier.

Marie 5 boasts several upgrades. We’ve given the newborn pillow a modular design that adapts to individual needs and extends the age range through interchangeable parts.

We’ve improved ergonomics by introducing curved surfaces on the pillow that provide superior comfort and support. And that’s not all. We’ve also improved the airflow with a highly breathable mesh back and headrest that keep babies cool and comfortable.

Boarding has also become even easier with Marie 5, thanks to the new spring loaded crotch pad that perfectly complements the existing magnetic shoulder pads for hassle free entry.

While Marie 5 is yet to be adorned with the awards and accolades of her older sister Marie 3 (iF Design Award and ‘Best in Category’ in the 2021 ADAC consumer tests), she proudly carries the legacy of her award-winning predecessor and is designed to achieve a five-star safety rating, particularly in a rear-facing position, like her twin, Curie.

What fabrics are used on the Marie 5?

On all of our seats we use high-quality fabrics that are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and easily cleaned in the washing machine. The outer material of Marie 5 is made of: 84% polyester and 16% elastane (spandex). For the upholstery, we use 100% polyurethane.

Can a newborn use Marie?

Marie is designed for babies aged 0-4 years. She comes with an extra special treat for the tiniest tots—a cozy newborn pillow for additional protection and support during those first three months (up until they reach 60cm or 6kg). Because every newborn deserves to feel like royalty, right?

What is Child Direction Assistance (CDA)?

Marie can be used both rearward and forward facing depending on the size and age of your child. The Child Direction Assistance function makes sure you keep your baby in rearward facing travel position until they reach 76 cm. This helps you follow the 15 months rearward facing regulation and keeps your little one safer. Learn why travel rearfacing child seats are safer.

Can the Marie 5 be rotated 360° to any position?

Yes! Marie is the queen of pirouettes and can rotate 360° from any recline position. This impressive skill is especially useful when helping your child in and out of the seat as it allows you to comfortably face them when buckling up without having to contort into an advanced yoga pose.

Are the fabrics on the Marie 5 washable?

Keeping it clean has never been this easy! All our car seat fabrics are machine washable at 30°C. Just check the user manual or washing tag for the nitty-gritty details. And a little tip from us: avoid the tumble dryer to prevent any shrinkage surprises. Your car seat cover will thank you!
